  • SPECIAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR FIREFIGHTERS: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if necessary.
Exposure Controls / Personal Protection
  • HYGIENE MEASURES: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
  • RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Where risk assessment shows air-purifying respirators are appropriate use a dust mask type N95 (US) or type P1 (EN 143) respirator. Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU).

Description of Calcium Citrate Malate

Calcium Citrate Malate is a water-soluble calcium supplement. It is the calcium salt of citric acid and malic acid with similar proportion  of citric acid and malic acid. It is available as USP & IP.

Application of Calcium Citrate Malate

Treats conditions arising from low calcium levels like:

  • Osteoporosis (bone loss).
  • Osteomalacia/rickets (weak bones).
  • Hypoparathyroidism (decreased parathyroid gland activity).
  • Latent tetany (a specific muscle disease).
  • Bone Health Supplement: CCM is a commonly prescribed supplement for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and other conditions that require increased calcium intake.
  • Adjunct in Antacid Therapy: It’s used as an ingredient in antacid formulations to help alleviate symptoms of indigestion while providing calcium.
